CPSCM™ Foundation – United States
CPSCM™ started off as a learning community for procurement, sourcing, supply chain and contract folks. Practioners and leaders told us that the 100 year old legacy certification programs were focusing on dictionary and encyclopedic understanding of procurement, which helped them pass the exams – but did not help them transform their skills or results. We sought out to change that. We started an invite-only community with a single goal—soundboard, brainstorm & ideate on PSCM and negotiations problems. We put together an advisory board with some of the most senior leaders from Foxconn, the Institute for Supply Management, the US government, Harvard University, and Google. The magic soon started from there.
With a clear mission to give our members the tools and skills to elevate their capabilities, results, and career track in purchasing and supply chain management.

The ultimate goal of this program at the group level is for member companies to enable their purchasing departments to be and be recognized as value added centers of profit.
Individual Goals
The ultimate goal at the individual level is to give CPSCM™ members the skills, knowledge, and capabilities to generate world class results not using the legacy model of memorizing the A-Z of procurement, but in driving upstream design for TCO, surgically removing costs from the supply chain, deftly tackling unfavorable bargaining power imbalances, driving investigative negotiations and value creation, leading supply chain total cost analysis, transforming all of procurement to be singularly focused on the acquisition of performance results, and taking our function out of the back office and securing a seat at the table with the business units and the C-Suite. .
The community spoke, and they loved this 21st century learning model and new paradigm for procurement. The stage was set for growth.
CPSCM™ origin in India
There are Millions of procurement professionals in India spending $XM dollars. It’s a blue ocean ripe for entry and growth. CPSCM™ was inaugurated in India with a cohort-driven, classroom-based learning community tailored for professionals in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, and contract management. Admission to this program was restricted to PSCM leaders possessing a minimum of 15 years of professional experience.
Community with a single goal—soundboard, brainstorm & ideate on PSCM and negotiations problem for a complete week. The energy was palpable and attendees knew they were onto something big. Something different. Something that would help their career track in ways they’d not been able to influence before.

We soon witnessed 1000+ leaders and operators get CPSCM™ certified. They brainstormed & solved PSCM problems together using different ways that cracked cases.

Focus on buying goods & services (instead of performance results).
Focus on moving costs along the supply chain instead of taking them out.
We started seeing more and more folks wanting to learn and get better. Core insight was that top talent craves for best in class learning in a social setting. We were building a new breed of procurement professional, in person, and one cohort at a time.
Fast forward to today, CPSCM™ is now evolving into an 8 week live Classroom experience that comes with a 12 Month community membership. Our acceptance criteria is becoming more stringent as we have greater demand, and as our curriculum becomes more advanced – but our mission remains to transform procurement careers.

CPSCM’s learning pedagogy is charting a course towards comprehensive excellence based on three pillars capability building, community motivation and outcomes!
Capability comes from learning and applying cutting edge and proprietary frameworks we’ve developed, getting a structured approach to problem solving the hardest problems in new and more effective ways, learning from real-world examples and licensed case studies, etc.
Community Motivation makes our members motivated - however community motivation has never been solved and is an afterthought in learning.
